Stephen King Box Set

Stephen King is a legendary author in the thriller space, yet I struggled to find a collection of his works that shared a consistent identity. My challenge was to unify a series of six of his best selling classics into a single, cohesive box set.

I began with extensive research into the titles to find obscure visual elements that would peak reader interest, alluding to the narrative while not giving away major plot devices. These elements are emphasized by spot colors on both covers, accompanied by vague contextual quotes to enhance the sense of mystery and intrigue. The purpose of the scratchy, chaotic illustrations was to visually communicate tension and stress which are fundamental to these novels.
